Structured cabling installation
Complete Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A installation for offices, schools, clinics, warehouses and multi-site rollouts — installed to standard, tested and documented.
What a structured cabling installation includes
Every JXC cabling package covers the full path from the equipment room to the work area outlet, so nothing is left for another trade to finish.
- Pathway build: J-hooks, sleeves, conduit stub-ups and firestopping coordination
- Horizontal cable runs pulled to TIA-568 bend radius and support spacing
- Terminations at patch panels, jacks, and modular furniture whips
- Rack, cabinet and cable management dressing in the MDF/IDF
- Permanent link testing on a Fluke DSX with a saved results file
- Labeling to TIA-606 and as-built documentation at turnover
Cat6 vs Cat6A: choosing the right cable
Cat6 supports 10GBASE-T to roughly 55 meters and is the practical default for most office and classroom drops. Cat6A carries 10 Gbps across the full 100-meter channel and handles higher PoE loads with less heat rise, which is why it is the standard choice for Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points, PoE cameras and long backbone-adjacent runs. When a building is being cabled once for a 15-year life, the material delta is small compared with the labor to pull it twice.
Working in occupied buildings
Most of our work happens around tenants, students and staff. We sequence floors and closets, work nights or weekends where required, protect finishes, and keep the ceiling grid closed behind us each shift so the space is usable the next morning.
Testing and closeout
Every drop is permanent-link tested and delivered as a results file, not a verbal pass. Closeout includes labeled panels and faceplates, a port-to-room schedule, punch completion and a clean equipment room.
Frequently asked
- How is structured cabling priced?
- Every project is quoted on a job basis. Pricing depends on cable category, run length, ceiling type, conduit requirements, finish protection and whether work is after hours. Send a floor plan and drop count and we will respond with a fixed-price proposal for the full scope.
- Do you provide Fluke test results?
- Yes. Every installation is permanent-link tested and the full results file is delivered at closeout along with labeling documentation.
- Can you work after hours in an occupied facility?
- Yes. Night, weekend and phased shifts are routine for us in schools, clinics and occupied office towers.
