Fiber optic backbone installation
Riser, campus and inter-building fiber — pulled, spliced, terminated and light-tested with documented loss budgets.
Backbone and campus fiber
We install the links that tie your MDF to every IDF and every building on the property.
- Single-mode (OS2) and multimode (OM3/OM4/OM5) distribution
- Riser, plenum, armored and outside-plant cable types
- Fusion splicing, splice trays, LIU and cassette buildouts
- Innerduct, tray and hand-hole pathway work
- Tier 1 loss testing and Tier 2 OTDR traces on request
Single-mode or multimode?
Multimode with short-reach optics is cheaper per port and fine inside a single building. Single-mode costs less per foot, carries any speed you will realistically deploy, and is the right answer for inter-building runs, anything over a few hundred meters, or any owner who does not want to re-pull for the next generation of switching. Many campuses install both in the same backbone.
Documentation that survives handover
Every strand is labeled at both ends, mapped to a port schedule and delivered with its loss results, so the next tech to open the LIU is not guessing.
Frequently asked
- Do you fusion splice on site?
- Yes. We splice pigtails and mid-span joints on site and deliver test results for every strand.
- Can you run fiber between buildings?
- Yes — outside-plant and armored fiber through existing conduit, hand-holes and tray, coordinated with the site's civil work.
